Mrs. Willie Cherry Way Foster of Columbia died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at her home after an extended illness. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Broughton Street, Orangeburg, with the Rev. Terry Flemming officiating. Mrs. Foster was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late William W. Cherry and Annie Syfret Cherry. Prior to employment and retirement from food service with the S.C. Department of Corrections, she was a successful entrepreneur and business owner. Mrs. Foster was a lifelong Methodist. She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Way; and two sisters, Lois Strock and Johnnie Fogle. Surviving are her husband, Leo Foster of the home; a son, Ron LeBoeuf of Charleston; four grandchildren, Elizabeth "San" LeBoeuf, Chris Watkins, Anne Benton and Bill LeBoeuf; and eight great-grandchildren.
