William Jervey Weatherford, 86, of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Born on January 29, 1939, in Cross William was a son of the late Lois Yount Hopkins and Jessie Weatherford.
William dedicated many years of his life to his work as a skilled tool and die manufacturer. Outside of work he loved fishing and gardening, especially after his retirement. A devoted member of Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, William faithfully served in several roles over the years, including as a deacon and Royal Ranger Commander. He was also an active participant in the Men's Fellowship, where he shared his faith and friendship with others. Above all, William cherished his family. He especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember him not only for his love and kindness but also for the Smarties and Starlight Mints he always kept in his pocket just for them. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity, and quiet strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
William is preceded in death by his wife Doris Weatherford; his parents; a grandson Cody Weatherford; sister Virginia Metts and brothers Jimmy Weatherford, Lewis Weatherford, Larry Weatherford, and John Henry Weatherford. William is survived by sons Mike Weatherford (Tina) and Bill Weatherford (Jenny) and a daughter Brenda Rudd (Wayne); grandchildren Kim Watkins (Jonathan), Michael Weatherford (Ashton), John Rudd (Jenna), Leigha Benton (Kevin), Hailey Weatherford (Kameron), Kaddan Weatherford (Ansley), April Kirk, Nadia Weatherford, and Landon Weatherford; great grandchildren Bethany, Zachary, Jayce, Rynlee, Kolton, Korbin, Elizabeth, Avery and Amelia; a sister Sylvia Weatherford (Sonny); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM at Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1689 County Line Road, Cross. The service will follow at 3PM. Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pressley Memorial Men's Fellowship, 2584 Mudville Rd. Cross, SC 29436.
