ELLOREE, SC - William Plummer Bilger, 71, of Elloree, formerly of Tyrone, PA, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at home. There will be a memorial service Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Santee. Bill, as he was known, was born January 23, 1945 (1-23-45), at home in Alexandria, PA, a son of the late Plummer H. Bilger and Roxie B. Hammers. He was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School, Alexandria, PA, and a veteran of the US Army. Bill retired from Chicago Rivet and Machine after 43 years, was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bilger. He and his wife retired to Elloree in 2011 where they became members of the Santee Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving are his wife, Polly Welch Bilger of Elloree, SC; sons Williams P. (Mary) Bilger, Jr. of Williamsburg, PA, and David (Angela) Bilger of Tyrone, PA; sisters, Janet (John) Herbert, Mary Wiser, and Patricia Hess, all of Huntington, PA, Bonnie (Ron) Schmidt of Washington, PA, and Debra (Bill) Fell of Downingtown, PA; grandchildren, Justin (Alisha) Bilger, Nickolas Bilger, Kyle Bilger and Kayla Bilger; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Levi Bilger.
