Wayne Edward Hart

HOLLY HILL - Wayne Edward Hart, 77, of Holly Hill, husband of Elizabeth Wyke Hart, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his home. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Holly Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Cooper Stonestreet officiating. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Howard Sohm, Howie Sohm, Will Sohm, Jay Shuler, Brant Shuler, Luke Hixon and Pete Rockhill. Born in Albany, New York, Wayne was a graduate of University of North Florida, and an Army veteran. He was evening hospital administrator for St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville for 26 years, and a part-time civil law clerk, Duval County Court House in Jacksonville. Wayne retired to Holly Hill, in 2008 where he served as president of the Lion's Club, and was a member of the Shuler Hunting Club and a former member of Good Cheer Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth of Holly Hill,; cousins, Howard and Gloria Sohm and family of Holly Hill, SC; Donald Sohm, Henry Sohm and Lily Jean Sobota of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; and step-children, Jonathon and Jim Crosby, and Kathy McKay. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
