Trudy Faye Grubbs Grooms

CROSS - Mrs. Trudy Faye Grubbs Grooms, 67, of Cross, wife of Alvin Grooms, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Avinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Black Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. this Wednesday at the funeral home. Trudy was born in Covington, Ind., a daughter of the late Charles Grubbs and Anna Lyons Grubbs. She was a graduate of Palmer College in Charleston, and was a member of Common Ground in Eutawville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hunt. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, RenAC.e (Tommy) Wolpert of Eutawville; a son, Shane (Lisa) Grooms of Cross; a brother, Jimmy Grubbs of Rincon, GA; and grandchildren, T.J., Jonah, Anna Grace, Eli, Rebeca Fe, Ax, and Essie Wolpert, and Haley Grooms.
