Thomas Lee "Tom" Skorepa

Thomas Lee “Tom” Skorepa, 81, of Elloree, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026.

Born on October 16, 1944, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, Tom was a son of the late Mae Johnson Skorepa and Henry Skorepa.

Tom retired from Alcoa after 24 years of service as a mechanical engineer supervisor. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, with four years of active duty and 18 years in the reserves. Tom was a faithful member of Santee Presbyterian Church.

Tom will be fondly remembered as a great fixer-upper who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and figure out how to fix just about anything. Most of all, Tom loved his family and friends dearly. His kindness, helpful spirit, and love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Gerald Skorepa.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Skorepa; daughter, Joylynn Jarman; son, Timothy Skorepa; sister, Evelyn Knight (Donald); grandchildren, Joshua Jarman (Melody), Sean Jarman, Breanna Grech (Eric), and Jade Skorepa-Holmes (Richard); great-grandchildren, Raine Skorepa, Kayden Skorepa, and Luna Blum; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.
