Susie Myers Petty

Tamera Myers "Susie" Petty, 67, of Santee, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Born on August 20, 1958, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Susie was the daughter of the late Frances Rush Myers and David "Boots" Myers.

Susie dedicated many years of her life working at Tastee Food Shop in Santee before later joining Lakeside Landscaping. She had a natural green thumb and found great joy in tending to plants and flowers.

She also loved traveling alongside Ernie in his 18-wheeler, where she earned the affectionate nickname "Lady Rose," her cherished call handle. Susie had a daily ritual of enjoying coffee at 5 p.m. and could often be found playing games on her phone.

Susie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.Susie is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Petty and her parents.Susie is survived by daughters Tabatha Petty (Daniel) and Jessica Hritz; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274. Eutaw Road in Holly Hill, South Carolina. The family will receive friends after the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
