Steven Lynn Myers

Steven Lynn Myers, 72, of Santee, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Born on December 2, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, Lynn was a son of the late Maggie Martin Myers and Winfred Myers.

Lynn was a man whose faith in Jesus Christ guided his life. He loved the Lord deeply and held firmly to his faith, even in the most challenging times. A lifelong outdoorsman, Lynn loved hunting and spending time in nature, finding peace and purpose in the woods. He was a proud member of the Elloree Community Hunting Club and enjoyed collecting peace stickers—a small but meaningful symbol of his generous spirit. He also loved the Beatles, NASCAR racing, western movies, and cheering on his Gamecocks. A hardworking and dedicated man, Lynn spent many years operating heavy machinery while also serving as the manager of the Santee General Store and Rivers Country Store. Helping others came naturally to him, and he never hesitated to lend a hand whenever it was needed. 

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Myers; his children Derek Myers (Dyanna), Jenny Lewis (Michael), and Kyle Myers (Mandy); his nine cherished grandchildren—Morgan, Caitlynn, Robert, Reese, Chandler, Cale, Harley, Chaz, and Brystol; his five beloved great-grandchildren; and his devoted canine companion, Jasmine. He is also remembered fondly by extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 28, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. A service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Gerizim United Methodist Church Cemetery in Vance, with burial to follow.

Pallbearers will be Harrison Prickett, Chandler Lewis, Cale Lewis, Chaz Myers, Joe Daves, and Billy Browning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gerizim United Methodist Church PO Box 523, Vance, SC 29163 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
