Stanley Louis " Stan " Godfrey, 80, of Eutawville, South Carolina, formerly of Orangeburg, husband to Catherine Lee (Walsh) Godfrey of 48 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born on September 29, 1940 in Greenville, Stan was the son of the late Boyd Godfrey and Annie Ruth Godfrey.
Stan, was a retired teacher and coach and served in the Marine Corps.
Stan is survived by his wife and many family and friends.
The family will hold a service in Johnston, SC at a later date to honor Stan's life. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home will assist the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to a local animal shelter in Stan's memory.
