Stanley A. Waite

HOLLY HILL, SC - Stanley Andrew Waite, Sr., 78, husband of Margaret Noel Waite, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be one o'clock Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill, SC. officiated by Pastor Aaron Abreu. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at eleven o'clock Saturday. Burial will follow in the Pressly Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Cross, SC. Mr. Waite was born in Bellwood, PA, a son of the late John Clyde Waite and Bernadine Hostler Waite. He was a member of The Gospel Light Baptist Church and he was a retired truck driver from Food Lion and PPG Industries. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved very much, and tinkering with things around the house. He worked in maintenance at Pinehill School before retiring in 2000. Stanley never met a stranger that he did not share the Gospel with. Mr. Waite was predeceased by siblings Thomas Waite, Todd (Norman) Waite, Jack Waite, Elsie Waite Shutt, Marcy Waite Smith, and Norie Waite Payne. Survivors are his wife of 56 years; children Andy (Tina) Waite of Bristol, IN, Teri (Tom) Williams of Fort Mill, Kim (Carroll) Miller of Orangburg, and Michele (DJ) Coon of Flagstaff, AZ.; grandchildren Andy, Benjamin, Melissa, Lindsay, Chris, Travis, Julia, Gregory, Jeffrey, Tyler, and Katie; great-grandchildren Caleb, James, Emma, Hannah, Elijah, and Griffin; and a sister Helen Waite Smith, Everette, PA.
