Ruth Strock ELLOREE - Ruth Lee Clark Strock, 88, of Elloree, widow of Homer Strock, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services will 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jerusalem United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Fleming and Pastor Randy Ardis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Strock, Brad Coker, Jamie Beck, Bruce Kemmerlin, Aubrey Jones and James Beck. Mrs. Strock was born in Vance, a daughter of the late Lewis Clark and Bessie Martin Clark Griffin. She was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her step-father, Noney Griffin; and brothers, Lewis and John Clark and Charles Griffin. Surviving are a son, Calvin (Susan) Strock of Elloree; sisters, Gladys Rush of Vance, Betty (James) Beck and Johnnie (Aubrey) Jones, both of Santee; grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Coker and Jason Strock, both of Elloree; and great-grandchildren, Sydney and Braden Coker of Elloree. Friends may call at Avinger Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. this Tuesday evening and other times at the home of Calvin and Susan Strock.
