Russell "Russ" Denver Boyd, 44, passed away November 8,2017 at home. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, November 10, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Holly Hill with the Rev. Marshal Locke officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 am. Russ was born in Orangeburg, a son of the Russell Eugene "Gene" Boyd and the late Billie Jean Bilton Boyd. He was a graduate of Bowman Academy and Charleston Southern University. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and enjoyed being a meteorology hobbyist. Russ is survived by his father of Eutawville; a sister, Sandy (Randy) Brown of Vance; nephews, James (Katlin) Brown of Holly Hill, Jacob Brown, and John Brown, both of Vance; and a special family friend, Alice Snell.
