HOLLY HILL - Mr. Roy Jackson, 83, of Holly Hill, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Trident Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Eddie Freeman and Pastor Frank Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery. Roy was born in Holly Hill, a son of the late David and Gussie Scott Jackson. He was a retired machine operator and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy. Roy enjoyed fishing and hunting. He looked forward to watching wrestling on Thursday nights with his nephew, "Bootsie Boy," and enjoyed sitting on the front porch and talking. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Zadie Scott Jackson of the home; daughters, Helen (George) Johnson of Rowesville, and Burnice (Randy) Mobley of Orangeburg; sisters, Vickie Pratt of Eutawville and Lottie Mae (Johnny) Skillen of Cross; brother, Morris (Jenny) Jackson of Holly Hill, grandchildren, Felicia Scott, Tesha (Chris) Johnson, Meagan (Randal) Griffith, Brittany (Lester) Rice, and Kristen Mobley; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Brantley, and Brayden Johnson (Pappy's buddy), Ashlyn Mobley, and Emory Griffith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Monday at Avinger Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
