LINCOLNTON, NC - Mrs. Rosettia Suggs Martin, 93, of Lincolnton, formerly of Vance, SC died Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Lincolnton, NC nursing facility. A graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Gerizim United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Edward Stiltz officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Mrs. Martin was born in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Suggs and Louisa Cartwright Suggs. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Gerizim UMC. She was the widow of Percy Clifton Martin and was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Martin. Surviving are a daughter, Gussie M. Knight of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Wanda O'Donnell, Donald Allen Jones, Henry Allen Jones, Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren, Shannon Ives, Sean McCarthy II, David Jones, Chris Jones, Sarah Burris, Jessica Jones, Savannah Jones, Cody Jones, Amber Hyde; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
