Robert R Besok

SANTEE- Robert Roland Besok, 83, husband of Doris Glor Besok, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday, January 8th at Santee Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Grubbs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Mr. Besok was born in Olean, NY, a son of the late Helen Reese Besok and John J. Besok. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, and he formerly owned a trucking company. He was a member of Santee Presbyterian Church and the Shriners. He enjoyed playing golf and going off shore to fish. Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Wendy A Carter of Lugoff; a son, Michael J Besok of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister; Betty Waters of New York; grandchildren, Kristin (Tony) Moak, Nichole (Daniel) Todd, and Jordan (Casie) Reynolds all of Lugoff; great-grandchildren, Roxy, Rivers, Lyla, and Gabriel Moak, Sarah Reynolds. Memorials may be made to Santee Presbyterian Church, 306 Bradford Blvd, Santee, SC 29142.
