Reed Felder

HOLLY HILL - Powell Reed Felder II, 77, of Holly Hill, husband of Carole Rast Felder, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church. There will be a reception in the fellowship hall after the service. The family will gladly receive friends other times at the home. A native of Holly Hill, Reed was the son of the late Powell Reed Felder, Sr. and Eudora Lambert Felder. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Reed was a life-long horse racing enthusiast and in his younger years he worked for Lucien Laurin at the Aqueduct Racetrack in New York. Surviving are his wife, Carole of Holly Hill; daughters, Julie F. (Wade) Louthan of Berryville, Va., and Lisa F. (Rick) Lail of Pomaria; sons, Larry Felder and S.E. "Buddy" (Lindy) Felder, all of Holly Hill; a sister, Patsy (Roy) Varner of Eutawville; grandchildren, Anna, Caroline, and Lee Louthan, Tura Jean Lail, Jonathan Watkins, and Ashley and Brittany Felder; and a great-grandson, Andrew Crump.
