Ray G Gibson, Jr.

EUTAWVILLE- Ray Golding Gibson, Jr., 73, widower of Mary Clark Gibson, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The family will receive friends 5pm until 7 pm Tuesday, January 2 at Avinger Funeral Home. Mr. Gibson was born in Holly Hill, son of the late Bower Smith Gibson and Ray G. Gibson. He was a graduate of Holly Hill High School, a member of Bethlehem SouthernMethodist Church, and he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was predeceased by a sister Lib Gibson Cross. Surviving are a son, Timmy (Tammy) Gibson of Eutawville; a daughter, Melissa Hoskins of Lexington; grandchildren, Emily and Riley Gibson and Bailey and Devon Rae Hoskins.
