Patrick Henry Roberts

Patrick Henry “Pat” Roberts, 87, passed away peacefully in his home in Cross, South Carolina on Sunday, July 9, 2023.

Born on August 9^th, 1935, in Loris, Pat was one of nine children born to the late Irene Strickland Roberts and Ellis H. Roberts.

Pat did not always have the easiest life, but he always made the best out of every situation with a great big smile on his face. He was always a kind and generous soul who would give his last to anyone in need. Pat was lovingly known as “Pops” by many, and he called many his “kids” (and loved them just as much!) Pat never met a stranger. He loved spending time with good people and he really loved good southern cooking and was always excited when people would bring him home cooked meals and conversation.

Pat is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Lynn Roberts and Tammi Renae Roberts; his two brothers; Willie Walker “Bill” Roberts and Larry Ray Roberts, two, grandchildren, Ashley Elizebeth Holder and Philip Mikel Holder; eight, great grandchildren; Preston Holder, Rilee Holder, Teghan Bennett, Declan Bennett, Charlstyn Bennett, Clayton George, Emilee George and Daiton George as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family

Pat is preceded in death by his parents; Ellis H Roberts and Irene Strickland Roberts; his brothers, Edwin H “Ed” Roberts, William Jerry “Bobby” Roberts, Harold Douglas “Doug” Roberts, Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Roberts, Tim McCoy “Jimmie” Roberts and his sister, Joyce Gayle “Joye” Roberts

Pat was a wonderful man, a genuinely good man. He was an amazing father who loved his daughters deeply. He was a wonderful brother and a Father Figure to anyone who needed it. He was loved by many, and he will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at a later date.
