Odell Harry Bozardt Jr.

Odell Harry Bozardt, Jr., 92, of Eutawville, SC, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was born in Orangeburg, SC, the son of the late Odell Harry Bozardt and Janie Haigler Bozardt.

Harry is survived by his wife, Jean, and children: Sherri Bozardt, Susanne Braun (David), Haigler Bozardt, Laurin Oswald (Ashlyn), Lisa Sandel, and grandchildren Casey, Jessica, Joseph, Sarah Paige, Mac, Spencer, Elizabeth, and a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Grace. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Brazell.

Harry graduated from Dreher High School, Columbia SC class of 1951, The University of South Carolina in 1955, and The University of South Carolina School of Law in 1961.

He spent two years in the United States Navy and practiced law in Orangeburg. Harry was a lifelong, avid Gamecock fan. He served many terms on the Board of Trustees of Garden City Chapel and Retreat, Garden City SC. He also volunteered for years with Habitat for Humanity. Harry was a lifelong Lutheran and served often on the Council of Orangeburg Lutheran Church and Hope Lutheran Church in Vance.

Burial will be private. A service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held at 11:45 am on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Hope Lutheran Church, 10154 Old #6 Highway, Vance, SC 29163. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, PO Box 67, Vance, SC 29163.

The family would like to thank Grove Park Hospice and all the wonderful ladies who helped take such good care of Harry.
