Miriam I Phillips

HOLLY HILL- Miriam Inabinette Phillips, 85, widow of Howard P. Phillips, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in an Orangeburg nursing home. Funeral service will be 3pm Sunday, January 14 at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm Sunday until the time of service in the church. Mrs. Phillips was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of Leah Bookhardt and Ernest Homer Inabinette. She was a graduate of Providence High School and a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, her pets, and feeding birds. Surviving are daughters, Linda Inabinette of Holly Hill and Nanci Phillips Fowler of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Damian) Rhett Mata of Red Oak, TX and Matthew G. Fowler of Nashville, TN; and a granddaughter, Gabrielle E. Black of Red Oak, TX. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Riverside Healthcare and Rehab Center for the kindness and loving care they showed during her time there.
