Mildred Sweatman Williams

Mildred Madeline Sweatman Williams, 90 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 21, 1932 in Holly Hill, SC she was a daughter of the late Madeline Myers Sweatman and Perry Sweatman Sr.

Mildred retired from The Department of Social Services. She loved gardening and enjoyed baking her pecan pies. 

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents: brothers, Hamlin Sweatman, Jimmy Sweatman, Perry “Pete” Sweatman, Danny Sweatman, Reggie Sweatman, Edward Sweatman, and a sister Dorothy Wiles.

Mildred is survived by a son, David Watkins (Kim); daughters, Rhonda Cox and Frances Dyches and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6-8PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Rd., Holly Hill, South Carolina.

The service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11AM at Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church, 229 Bethlehem Rd Holly Hill, SC, Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Keith Sweatman, Lynn Sweatman, Chad Sweatman, Ronnie Infinger, Nick Soto, and Kenneth Hacine.  Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Sweatman and Drew Sanders.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church.
