Martha Elaine Elliott

Martha Elaine Elliott 71, of Eutawville, SC passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday June 27, 2018. She was born in Orangeburg, SC on December 31th, 1946. She was preceded by her parents, Benjamin T. Thompson and Annie Neal Thompson of Branchville, SC and a brother Harry Thompson of Branchville, SC.
Elaine and her husband were to be celebrating their 50th year wedding anniversary on December 7th, 2018. She worked at Charleston Navy Yard and retired from First National Bank of South Carolina. She also attended Palmer business college and was a current member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Elaine was a loving wife and mother with an incredible green thumb. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, playing the piano, and shagging with her husband to beach music. She had a wonderful sense of humor and would brighten any room she entered. She is survived by her husband, Thurman B. Elliott Jr., two daughters- Valerie Elliott (Scott) and Jodi Elliott, as well as, three grandchildren.
She recently stated in writing how much she enjoyed her flowers and her wonderful family and a wonderful marriage of 49 years.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday June 30th, 2018 from 4pm-6pm at Avinger Funeral Home. Her celebration of life service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church at 3pm on Sunday, July 1st 2018 and interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery.
