Margaret Pace

HOLLY HILL - Margaret Gambrell Pace, 84, of Holly Hill, widow of Broadus S. Pace, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her daughter's home in Walterboro. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday at Avinger Funeral Home with Rev. Renae Hester officiating. Burial will be private. Margaret was born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late Jodie Gambrell and Mamie Kernels Gambrell. She was preceded in death by sons, Michael Pace and Robert Pace. Surviving are daughters, Ann Watkins of Walterboro, and Mary Ellen (Jimmy) Smith of Holly Hill; a son, Junior Pace of Holly Hill; daughters-in-law, Frances Pace of Laurens, and Cindy Pace of Holly Hill; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice,113 Washington St., Suite G, Walterboro, SC 29488.
