Lyta Jackson Bilton

EUTAWVILLE - Mrs. Lyta Jackson Bilton,87,of Eutawville, widow of Thomas L. "Tom" Bilton, died Sunday September 21, 2014 in a Columbia hospital. Funeral services will be 3pm Thursday at the Eutawville United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Billy Lewis, Rev. Bruce Rucker, and Rev. Dr. Tim. Phillips. Burial will be in the Eutawville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill. Mrs. Bilton was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of the late Herbert H. Jackson and Hattie Wiggins Jackson. She was a member of the Eutawville United Methodist Church, a former president of the United Methodist Women and very active in other church organizations. The family would like to thank all her caregivers. Mrs. Bilton always felt her family was her greatest achievement. Survivors are a daughter Lynelle B. (Tom) Smith of Irmo; a son Thomas L. "Tommy" (Stacy) Bilton, Jr. of Eutawville; grandchildren; Jeff Smith of Charlotte, NC, Alyssa and Tara Bilton both of Eutawville. Memorials may be made to Eutawville UMC, P.O.
