ELLOREE - Leo Marshall Ott, Jr., 63, of Elloree, husband of Cindy Martin South-Ott, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 4 pm Friday at First Baptist Church, Elloree with Pastor Don Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Santee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Ott, Coy Ott, Ulmer Coker, Bobby Ballard, Wayne Scott, Tommy Martin, Rusty Boland, Rusty Bair. L.M. was born in Elloree a son of Leo M. Ott, Sr. and the late Eddie Lou Cherry Ott. He was a graduate of Elloree High School and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was former owner of Ott's Grocery. L.M. had a love of gardening, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Elloree, and was predeceased by a brother, Marvin E. Ott. Surviving are his wife of Elloree; his father of Elloree; sons, Leo Marshall (Tonya) Ott, III of Vance, and William Timothy Ott of Eutawville; step-son, Warren Jeffery (Maia) South of Sidney, Australia; sister, Linda O. Ulmer of Elloree; grandsons, Marshall Braxton Ott and William Timothy Ott, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm this Thursday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill, and other times at the home.
