Leon W. Maginnis

Leon W. Maginnis, CPA, CFE, CFF, 86 passed away on the morning of September 4, 2021. He was born on September 10, 1934 to Margaret and Donald H. Maginnis Sr. in Sandusky, Ohio.
He was married to his beloved wife Alisan on October 24, 1959, and they lived in Santee, South Carolina for many years.
Leon was preceeded in passing by his father Donald H Maginnis Sr., his mother Margaret, and his brother Donald H Maginnis Jr (Junior).
He was a 1964 graduate of Fenn College (now Cleveland State University) with a BS in Accounting, and went on to earn designation and distinction as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, along with a Certification in Financial Forensics during his long career. He was the owner of Maginnis & Associates, CPA for many years in Bellevue, Ohio.
He was passionate about his work and helping others, and was a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan, and enjoyed playing golf with his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Alisan, his sister Diane of Santee, South Carolina, and his two children and five grandchildren. He was blessed with his daughter Kelly (Jeff) Hartlage of Charlotte, North Carolina, and their children Greg and Jill. He also leaves behind his beloved son Patrick (Monica) of Cary, North Carolina, and their children Danny, Tommy and Martina.
Leon will be forever missed by his family and many friends.
