Kenyon "Ken" Minus Hinnant

Kenyon "Ken" Minus Hinnant, 70 of Eutawville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Born on October 10, 1952 in Orangeburg, South Carolina he was a Son of Virginia "Jinx" Sweatman Hinnant and the late John "Jack" L. Hinnant Jr.

Ken graduated from Holly Hill High School in 1970, where he excelled in football and track.  Due to his love for farming, like his father, he went to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) from 1970-1971.  He later attended the Baptist College, now known as Charleston Southern University from 1971-1972.

When Ken was not farming, he loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.  He loved the outdoors, especially the lake.  Ken grew up water skiing and snow skiing.  Some called him "The King of Lake Marion".

Ken is survived by his only child, Jade Allison Hinnant; ex-wife, Janet P. Hinnant; mother, Virginia "Jinx" S. Hinnant; brother, Johnny Hinnant (Teresa) and their son John; and many other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Ken is preceded in death by his father, Jack and aunt, Lois Hinnant.

Those honoring Ken as pallbearers will be Karl Parker, Bruce Owens, Bill Sweatman, Keith Cummings, David Dantzler, Rocky Bell, Steve Williams, and Timothy Peters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 5-7pm at Avinger Funeral Home. The service will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2PM in the Avinger Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Eutawville Cemetery.
