Kassondra Rose Rhodes “Kassy”

Kassondra Rose Rhodes, 63 of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 surrsurrounded  by her husband and five children. 

Born on October 26, 1959 in Portsmouth, VA. she was the daughter of​​​​ Saundra Joy Van RemoortelWathen and George Roger Wathen Jr. 

Kassondra, Kassy to her friends and family, never met a stranger. Selfless, loving, and compassionate she was generous to all those in need. No stranger to the pitfalls of life, Kassy’s sarcastic sense of humor, strength of character, and hard work ethic endeared her into the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Kassy loved crafting keepsakes, knitting, gardening, games, and made the holidays special for everyone. Her spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren. 

Kassondra is preceded in death by her father George Roger Wathen Jr., her sister ​​        Teresa Raye Meymandi, and her grandson Thomas Roger Swanson Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Alfred Jack Rhodes; mother, Saundra Joy Wathen; sisters, Margaret Leigh Miniard(Tony), Winifred Ann Ribeiro (Carlos), Melissa Inez Wathen; her brother in-law, Manoucher Movahedi Meymandi; children George Roger Wathen III (Stephanie), Steven Shelton Wathen(Jessica), Saundra Joy Wathen, Lura Jean Llewellyn Mehrmann (Robert), Elizabeth Mary Llewellyn; grandchildren, Tyler James Ballin, Elijah Cole Robinson, Kaylee Rose Robinson, Jacob Roger Wathen, James Kyle Swanson, Elliot Anthony Wathen, Hayden Xavier Brown, Annabella Rose Morgan, Titus James Conger, Lukas Theodor Mehrmann, Jeremiah Titus Llewellyn; nieces and nephews, Leyla Marie Meymandi, Jessica Leigh Meymandi, Jack Rostam Meymandi, Lydia Alessandra Ines Ribeiro, Rachel Gabriella Marie Ribeiro, Elizabeth Joy Miniard Terrell, Sarah Leighann Miniard, Hannah Shaleen Miniard Eaton (Andrew), Rebekah Sheridan Miniard Galvez (Brian); along with numerous other loved ones.

Kassondra’s family will be hosting a private memorial at a future date.
