Julia Campbell Fletcher, 77, of Lexington, South Carolina and formerly of Eutawville passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025.
Born in 1948 in Statesville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Campbell and Vera Craig Campbell. Julia was a 1966 graduate of Statesville High School and earned her nursing diploma from the North Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Winston-Salem in 1969. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 1994.
Julia devoted over 45 years to a meaningful and impactful career in nursing and nurse management, serving communities across North Carolina and South Carolina with compassion, professionalism, and grace.
A woman of deep faith, Julia was a member of Santee Presbyterian Church, where she found great joy singing in the choir. She also cherished gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, quilting, and especially caring for others.
She is survived by her children, Andrew Thomas Hermann of Columbia, and Rev. Lisa C. Hermann of Nashville, TN; sister, Carolyn E. Niblock (John); and brother, Robert "Bob" Campbell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Fletcher; sister, Sylvia Dagenhart; and nephew, Joel Dagenhart.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Raymond Dagenhart, Michael Niblock, Craig Campbell, John Robert Bowker, Michael Ryback, and Jason Schulties. Honorary pallbearers include Andrew Hermann, William Dagenhart, and Jerry Campbell.
Julia’s legacy is one of kindness, service, and love — a life fully and beautifully lived.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road in Holly Hill, South Carolina.
The service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Santee Presbyterian Church, 306 Bradford Blvd., Santee. The burial will follow at Eutawville Cemetery, Hwy 6 in Eutawville.
