Jerlyne Ann McDonald

Jerlyne "Jerri" Ann Mitchell McDonald, wife of Prentis L. McDonald of Santee entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 4, 2019. Jerri was born in Connecticut, daughter of the late James L and Catherine Stenger Mitchell. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph Academy and St. Francis School of Nursing in Connecticut. Jerri was a licensed RN in Connecticut and South Carolina. She was a former school nurse at Summerville Catholic School and a substitute teacher for Consolidated School District #3. Jerri was a volunteer and member of Elloree Heritage Museum, member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, former CCD Director, Lecteur, choir member, member of Parish Council, Women's Association, co- chair of Social Concerns, and the Chairman of the Angel Tree.

Besides her husband of 56 years, Prentis, she leaves three sons, Drew J and Matthew of South Carolina, Miles Allen of Indiana; a brother, Gregory (Janet) Mitchell of Connecticut; and grandchildren, Joshua and Lindsay McDonald of Indiana.

Services will be held privately at Beaufort National Cemetery.
