Jean Wolfe Connor

October 9, 1931 — October 4, 2018

Jean Wolfe Connor, 86, widow of James Rutledge “Rut” Connor, Jr., of The Rocks Plantation, formerly of Orangeburg, passed away peacefully at Magnolias Assisted Living in Santee on Thursday, Oct. 4, just five days shy of turning 87.

Jean was the daughter of the late Homer Marion Sr. and Madelle Satterwhite Wolfe.
She worked at First National Bank of Orangeburg before joining her husband’s recreational endeavor, Rocks Pond Campground, located on the shores of Lake Marion.
Jean was a member of First Baptist Church of Orangeburg.
In addition to her parents and husband,her brother, Home Marion “Jack” Wolfe Jr., preceded her in death.

Jean is survived by her daughter Mary Margot Connor (Tom Robin) and son James Rutledge Connor III, of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Meredith Connor Lubbock (Dustin) of Amarillo, Texas and Dan Robin (Jodi) of Albany, Oregon and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her nephew Anthony “Tony” M. Wolfe (Pam) and nieces Ashley Hunter (Donald), Tracy Cooper (Audie) and Laura Franga (Dion).

A private service will be held at Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church.
