Jean Rudd Smith

RIDGEVILLE - Mrs. Jean Rudd Smith, 77, of the Sandridge Community, Ridgeville, died Thursday, January 1, 2015 in a North Charleston hospital. All services will be private. Jean was born in Charleston, a daughter of the late Ernest Leroy Rudd and Kate Welch Rudd. She retired as a manager of Berkeley Manufacturing Co. She enjoyed cooking, playing Nintendo games and her flowers. Jean dearly loved her grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Aikman of Sandridge; a son, Clyde (Billie) Smith of Holly Hill; a sister, Clara Cooper of Andrews; grandchildren, Ember Smith of Elloree, and T.C. Aikman of Sandridge; great-grandsons, Caleb Bunch and Jantzen Rudd, both of Elloree. Memorials may be made to Holly Hill Academy, PO Box 757, Holly Hill, SC 29059.
