Janice Cross Johnson

Janice M. Johnson, 69 of Vance, South Carolina, wife of Javin Johnson passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. 

Born on April 23, 1956, in Orangeburg, Janice was a daughter of the late Edna Adkins Cross and Adam Cross. 

Janice enjoyed fishing and valued the time she spent cooking, sharing meals with her family, and working in construction with her husband.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Webster Cross, Charles Cross, and Danny.

 Janice is survived by her husband; brother Michael Cross; sisters Emily Branton (Jimmy), Edna Murray (Donald), and Teresa Meyers (George); many nieces and nephews and her faithful companion Cricket. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 2-3PM at Avinger Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3PM. Burial will conclude at Black Creek Cemetery, County Line Rd. Cross.
