JACQUELINE T. ELLINGTON HOLLY HILL, S.C. - Jacqueline T. Ellington, 85, of Holly Hill, widow of Clarence Maxie Ellington, Jr., died September 13, 2015 at her daughter's home in Holly Hill. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11 o'clock in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Elloree, officiated by Rev. D. Mitchell Evans. Burial will be later in the Arlington National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill and following the service in the church social hall. Mrs. Ellington was born in Hazard, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Walter Turner and Vannie Sellers Turner. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and formally owned an antique shop for a number of years. Mrs. Ellington enjoyed needle work and traveling. Survivors are a daughter Lesly E. Thompson of Holly Hill; a son Robert L. (Melissa) Ellington of Columbia; a sister Billie T. Griffith of Haynesville, NC; grandchildren Emily Jaclyn Thompson, Max Christopher Thompson, Susan Faith Jacqueline Ellington, and David Benjamin Ellington.
