Jack M. Danztler

Jack M. Dantzler, 75, of Orangeburg passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2026. He was the husband of Wendy K. Dantzler of 37 years. He was born in the Providence Community the son of Heyward N. Dantzler and Blonde S. Dantzler.

His biggest pride in life was his family. His son, Zach M. Dantzler (Meredith). His daughter Hailey K. Dantzler and two precious grandchildren, Jax M. Dantzler and Eliza James Dantzler.

He is also survived by two brothers, Woody Dantzler (Frankie) and Barton Dantzler (Mary) and one sister Delores Harper (Bob). He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jack graduated from Holly Hill High School in 1970 and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1974 with a degree in animal science. He was employed as manager of Rocks Pond Campground for 20 years and retired from SC Department of Agriculture in 2019 after 24 years of service. He was currently employed by FMH and Rain and Hail as an independent crop insurance adjuster.

In his spare time, he was passionate about agriculture and a lifelong farmer at heart spending most of his afternoons tending to his land and taking care of his livestock. He was a man of honor, hard work, and determination. There was not much that would slow him down. If there was a will, he would find a way to do it himself.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all. His memory and life lessons will be instilled in his family and future generations.

The family will receive friends November 4, 2026, from 1-2PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Rd, Holly Hill. A service celebrating Jack’s life will follow at 2 pm. Pastor Henry Cooper officiating. Burial will be private on the Dantzler Farm at the Dantzler Farm Resting Place.
