Isaac Dykes Smoak Jr.

Isaac (Dykes) Smoak Jr., 81 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Born on January 21, 1943 in Eutawville, Dykes was a son of the late Rosa Russell Smoak and Isaac Smoak Sr.

Dykes served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. He was retired from the Naval Shipyard and Suburban Propane. For many years Dykes was involved with coaching Little League and Pony League in Holly Hill. He enjoyed wood crafting, crossword puzzles and watching classic tv shows. Dykes was a lifetime member of Eutawville United Methodist Church.

Dykes is preceded in death by his wife Millie Perry Smoak; his parents; son Ronnie Smoak; grandson Austin Tyler Smoak, and brothers Joseph Michael (Mike) Smoak and James R (Jimmy) Smoak.

Dykes is survived by son, Greg Smoak (Toni); daughter Kim Smoak; sister Sylvia Simpson (David); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sunny Ellison (Chuck) and Cheryl Perry, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10-11AM at Avinger Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11AM in the Chapel. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eutawville United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
