Thomas H. Moore, Jr. HOLLY HILL - Thomas Hugo "Hugh" Moore, Jr., 48, of Holly Hill, died Thursday, January 5, 2012. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hope Lutheran Church, 10154 old Number Six Hwy., Vance with Pastor Wade Roof officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joel Steelmon, Ronnie Harbert, David Jones, Wayne DeWitt, Irvin McCurry, and Chuck Tawes. Hugh was a son of Thomas H."Tommy" Moore and Henrietta DeWitt Moore. He was a graduate of Holly Hill Academy and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. A former truck driver, Hugh enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was a member of First Baptist Church, Holly Hill. Surviving are his parents of Holly Hill; a sister, Pamela Moore of Lugoff; and a brother, Henry Walker "Hank" Moore of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home, and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
