Harry Lee Stoudemire, Jr

April 28, 1939 — May 10, 2014

EUTAWVILLE - Harry Lee Stoudemire, Jr., 75, of Eutawville, husband of Diana Danner Stoudemire, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holly Hill United Methodist church with Rev. Cooper Stonestreet officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Alaxander Stoudemire, II, Dustin Singletary, Dillon Singletary, Corey Hill, Marc Berger, Rhett Berger, J.H. "Bubber" Danner, III, Corey Germanoff, and Joe Cox. Lee, as he was known, was born in Mullins, the son of the late Harry Lee Stoudemire and Julia Moore Edwards Stoudemire. A 1963 graduate and supporter of Clemson University, he was retired agriculture teacher, and a member of Alpha Tau Alpha Agriculture Society. Lee was a member of the Holly Hill UMC, Royal Order of Elks, and a former member of the Holly Hill Jaycees. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid quail hunter especially on his beloved Stoudemire Farm. Lee loved and cherished his family very much. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Stoudemire Helms. Surviving are his wife of over 55 years, Diana Larisey Danner Stoudemire of the home; a son, Harry Lee "Tripp" Stoudemire, III (Mary) of Holly Hill; a daughter, Prudy Hill (Gary) of Ladson; grandchildren, Dillon Singletary of Ladson, Dustin Singletary of Holly Hill, James Alaxander Stoudemire, II, and Leanna Marie Stoudemire, both of Eutawville, Corey Hill and Taylor Hill, both of Ladson; great-grandchildren, Mara Elizabeth Stoudemire of Eutawville, and Layne Hill of Ladson. A special thanks to B.J. Hiott and Pat Bruce of Regency Hospice for their care and kindness. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. this Monday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill.
