Harmon Grady Coker, 76, husband of Mary Virginia "Jenny" Coker entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Avinger Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Phillips and Rev. Dwight Brazell officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019. Pallbearers will be Donald "Bunk" Robinson, Eric Robinson, Brian "BJ" Robinson, Matthew Coker, Heath Westbury and Lonnie Bradham.
He was born on January 15, 1943 in Holly Hill, son of the late Alton and Dora Bunch Coker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Coker.
Mr. Harmon was the former owner of Harmon's Service Station of Holly Hill for over 20 years. He was a retired Superintendent for Armco Steel. He was currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Holly Hill Fire Department. Mr. Harmon was a life long member of Pine Tree Hunting Club and an active member of Torch of Truth Ministries in Holly Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny of 56 years of the home; son, Gerald (Diane) Coker; daughter, Brenda (Kelly) Kinsey, both of Holly Hill; five grandchildren, Anthony Coker, Philip Coker, Joseph Coker, Walter (Lauren) Kinsey and Jonathan (Amber) Kinsey; six great grandchildren, Jayden, Izabella, Khloe, Kohle, Layla and Brantley; brother, Alvin (Susie) Coker; sisters, Clara Jackson and Alice (Bobby) Westbury.
