Gregory Myrle Craven

GREGORY MYRLE CRAVEN SANTEE - Gregory Myrle Craven, 67, passed away April 25, 2017. He was born May 4, 1949 in Charleston, SC, a son of Frank Edward Craven, Jr. and the late Ruth Johnson Craven. Mr. Craven was a graduate of Carlisle Military school as a 2nd Lt., worked many years at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, and served in the Naval Reserve. Later he established his own company, Lakeside Constructors. He was an avid Civil War collector, Civil War re-enactor, and worked to preserve Civil War sites. Survivors include brothers, Chris (Cathy) Craven of Springtown, TX and Frank Craven III, of Lawrenceville, GA; a sister, Mary Craven of Charleston, SC; and six step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Monday morning, May 1, 2017, at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road, Holly Hill, SC. Visitation will bebegin at 10 o'clock. Burial will be private.
