Geralene Cynthia Moody

Geralene C. Moody, 66 of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Born on February 5, 1959, in Moncks Corner, Geralene was the daughter of the late Hanna Mason Moody and Thomas Brooks Moody Jr. 

Geralene enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and most of all, fishing and spending the day at flea markets. Geralene is preceded in death by her parents.

Geralene is survived by her sisters Sally Gatlin and Margaret Moody both of St. Stephens; brothers James Moody (Cindy) of Macedonia, Scotty Moody (Robbin) of St. Stephens, John Lyle Moody Sr. (Annette) of Harleyville, and Lawrence Moody of Jamestown; many nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and cousins Gene and Jeanne Flannery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Keith Mixon, J.B. Moody, Cliff Moody, Tom Moody, Lil Lyle Moody, and Kevin Moody. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Flannery and Johnny Potter.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road in Holly Hill. The service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road. The burial will be held at Bethany-Breland Cemetery, Old State Road, Holly Hill.
