Gene Gleaton

HOLLY HILL - Sellers Eugene "Gene" Gleaton, 78, of Holly Hill, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in a North Charleston nursing home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Target United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Stiltz and Rev. Barry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services. Pallbearers will be David Bunch, Michael Myers, David Hutson, Bobby Barnes, David Gleaton, and Edward Felkel. Gene was born in Holly Hill, a son of the late George Otis Gleaton and Nettie Holman Gleaton. He was a member of Target UMC and was retired from KOA Campground in Ladson. Surviving are a sister, Annette (Jimmie) Myers of Vance; brothers, Dickie (Joan) Gleaton of West Columbia, and Karl Gleaton of Newport News, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
