Furman Green Hood

VANCE - Furman Green Hood, 88, husband of Evelyn SnellHood, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home. Graveside services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Santee Cemetery, Elloree with Pastor Esta Gilley, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Mr. Hood was born in Elloree, a son of the Late Mack Neal Hood and Daisy Pearl Braswell Hood. He was retired from Coble Dairy and was an Air Force Veteran. Survivors are his wife of the home; a daughter, June Hood (Blake Chapman) Hastings of Vance; a son, Furman Gerald (Cathy) Hood of Eutawville; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
