Fred Edwards, Jr.

Fred Edwards, Jr., 78, husband of Andrea Edwards passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Pressley Memorial Church with Reverend Jonathan Lampley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Avinger Funeral Home on Monday, June 24, 2019. The family will also receive friends at their home.

He was born on November 1, 1940 to the late Fred and Walter Belle Soles Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Eric Edwards and his beloved 4 legged companion, Lucy.

Fred loved to fish and hunt and was an avid Gamecock fan. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother in law and friend to all.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Andrea Edwards; daughter, Crystal Rudd (Donnie); grandchildren, Samantha Rudd, Mason Rudd, Camron Crosby, Lauren Gerrald, Zach Weatherford, Blake Gerrald, IsaBella Gerrald and Jayce Weatherford; nieces, Jessica Gerrald (William) and Allison Shuler; nephew, Trey Shuler; a brother, Jimmy Edwards; sister in law, Debbie Gerrald; brother in law, Ricky Gerrald (Tabitha) 4 legged companion, Bella.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Debra "Tootie" Irick for all her love and support over the past few years.
