Frances Whetsell Wiggins

EUTAWVILLE - A memorial service for Frances Whetsell Wiggins, 81, of Eutawville, widow of J.D. "Dave" Wiggins, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Philip Rorabaugh, Rev. Barry Owens, and Rev. Julian Gamble officiating. Burial will be private Mrs. Wiggins died Friday, January 25, 2013 in The Village at Summerville. She was born in Elloree, the daughter of the late J. Derham Whetsell and Hartsie Irick Whetsell. She was a graduate of Holly Hill High School and Winthrop College. Mrs. Wiggins was an active member of Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie W. Eubanks, and a brother, Joe F. Whetsell. Surviving are sons, Tommy Wiggins and his wife Rhonda of Eutawville, and Jeff Wiggins and his wife, Sarah, of Summerville; Martin Eubanks of Columbia; a brother, Derham Whetsell, Jr. and his wife, Belle of St. George; and grandchildren, Claire E. Carpentier (Phil), John Martin Eubanks, Tyler Wiggins, Kelsey Wiggins, Davis Wiggins, Sutherland Wiggins, and Dalton Grace Wiggins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Avinger Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Tommy and Rhonda Wiggins.
