EUTAWVILLE - Frances "Fran" Murray Rast, 56, of Eutawville, wife of L. Carson Rast, Jr., died Saturday, July 19, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Eutawville United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Lewis and Rev. Peter Belec officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Fran was born in Charleston, a daughter of Beatrice Shuler Murray and the late Dalcho Judy Murray. She was a graduate of Holly Hill Academy, and was a well known local artist. Fran was a member of Eutawville United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by a sister, Judy M. Rhode. Surviving are her husband of the home; her mother of Santee; nieces and a nephew. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to Eutawville UMC, PO Box 362, Eutawville, SC 29048.
