Eleanor Bilton

HOLLY HILL, SC - Eleanor G. Bilton, 84, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Holly Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Cooper Stonestreet officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 at the church prior to the service. She was born April 4, 1933 in Bamberg, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Garris and Geraldine Sandifer Garris. Eleanor was a faithful member of the Holly Hill United Methodist Church, the church choir, and also served in numerous capacities at the church throughout the years. She was a retired Registered Nurse. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, L. R. "Buddy" Bilton, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Wendy Bilton (Jamie) Arbuckle from NY, NY; a sister, Barbara DiVittorio of Massapequa, NY; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, L. R. Bilton, III and a brother, Charles Garris.
