HOLLY HILL- Dorothy "Dottie" Sweatman Wiles, 73, widow of Asbury F. Wiles, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at her home. The funeral will be 11am Saturday in the Bethlehem Southern Methodist with the Rev. Phillip Rorabagh officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Sweatman, Donnie Sweatman, Hamlin Sweatman, Warren Wiles, Jr., David Watkins, Carl Sweatman, and Josh Wiles. Dottie was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of the late Perry D. Sweatman and Madeline Myers Sweatman. She was a member of Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church and a graduate of Holly Hill High School. She was predeceased by brothers Pete and Jimmy Sweatman. Survivors include sons, Warren (Tammy) Wiles of Holly Hill, and Reginal Wiles of Newport News, VA; a step-daughter, Brenda (Edward) Sweatman of Orangeburg; a step-son Russell "Bubba" (Kay) Wiles of Elloree; a sister, Mildred S. Williams of Holly Hill; brothers, Danny (Italeen) Sweatman of Harleyville, Reggie Sweatman of Holly Hill, and Edward (Brenda) Sweatman of Orangeburg; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to B.J. Hiott, Carey Cason, and Carolyn Wally of Regency Hospice for their care and kindness. Family will receive friends Friday, May 16, from 5pm to 7pm at Avinger Funeral Home.
