Donald Norman "Donnie" Hubbard

Donald “Donnie” Norman Hubbard, 76, reunited with his beloved wife and son in Heaven on August 18, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1950, in Long Island, NY. 

Don lived through humble beginnings in a large family but dedicated his life to hard work. During his youth, he established himself as a jack of all trades and a free spirit. From working the land and fishing in the sea he gained knowledge and experience that he wasn’t afraid to share. 

Don always had a sea story to lift the mood or good story that kept us guessing. After starting a family with the love of his life, they left the island and forged a new life in Eutawville, SC. He was an extraordinary man with a generous heart, which was evident in his loyalty to his family and community. Everyone who met him knew he had a brilliant mind that he used to help others. If anyone asked for help to fix something, he used his ingenuity to help solve problems in a way that would surprise you. Blessed with a kind soul, his charity set him apart from all others. His laugh was infectious and his jokes and pranks were hilarious. Through all his hardships, he showed others the meaning of true strength as he always seemed to pick himself up and keep moving forward. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Don, your memory will forever be in our hearts, and your legacy will continue and never be forgotten. Until we meet again, Pop Pop. Rest in Peace.

Mr. Hubbard’s family would like to invite all those who wish to help celebrate his life to Cathead Landing in Eutawville on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:00am for his memorial.
