Dewey Hill

EUTAWVILLE - Dewey Hill, 83, of Eutawville died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant. A graveside funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Emma' s Grove Baptist Church in Fletcher, NC with Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Dewey was born in Buncombe County, NC, a son of the late Cecil Hill and Nannie Wright Hill. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a retired machinist. A member of the Eutawville Lions Club, Dewey enjoyed fishing, and was a fan of North Carolina Tar Heel Basketball. Surviving are his wife, Rubye McBrayer Hill; sons, Terry Hill (Kerri) of Goose Creek, SC and Steven Hill of Eutawville; sister Rachel Buckner (Jerry) of Weaverville; and brothers, Cecil Hill (Alma) and Chester Hill (Edna), all of Asheville, NC. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this Monday evening at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill.
